If you have a big family (i have 10 aunts and uncles), it would probably be best to stick with them. Family bonds really help if you need a place to hide or if you need a cohesive group to work with.

Unfortunately most of my family is on the other side of the country; 2700 miles away. I think I'll just continue to live out here and try to keep the dream alive, hoping the shit doesn't hit the fan. If it does, maybe I'll make an epic, Fallout-esque journey across the US, mostly on foot, to be reunited with my family. That would make a good movie/game premise right there!

Eh, i was just thinking that some people might have the same situation i did. Me and my extended family are a pretty tight knit group, and we all live in relatively close proximity to each other, so help isn't too far away when you need it. Also, Fallout kicks ass operator . Although, that would be more like fallout tactics, but you get the point .
