Alright, listen up. The June 1st protests are obviously going to fail epicly due to everyone forgetting. We need a new strategy. First of all, it was a mistake to try and separate ourselves from /b/, since that's where almost all the energy behind this thing comes from. I recommend we make June 14 the new day for protests, and this time push it on /b/ and keep people from forgetting about it. If that means there will be some "questionable" activities, so be it. What we need right now is attention. Anyway, you cant beat them when you play by their rules.

I agree, but I think it is possible to keep /b/ recruitment out. Grassroots.

I think /b/ would be integral to our success. However i believe that they wont help if they think we're a bunch of conspiracy nuts. I basically want to know that a message to /b/ would look like for something like this.

it's hard to predict what /b/ could bring to this though.
/b/ could very well become more of a sabotage than anything.
but with the proper message, that can probably be avoided.

Ok we're basically against the growing power of corporations in relation to government. This growth of power is contrary the the freedom and will of the people and must be dealt with. All we can do right now is gather members and expand because right now we're too small to do anything.

true enough, true enough
but they aren't necessarily trying to take away our tubes
buuuuut online businesses (such as myspace) are trying to gain (as close as they can get to) internet-based monopolies. while these types of websites are putting limits on our internet by overtaking other, smaller websites, they truly have only a small influence on our rights and life in the real world.
so how could we even pitch that? "Keep capitalism out of the internet"?

Actually, if you look at Australia, Thailand, Germany, and the UK, there's a growing trend of government internet censorship. Also, wiki Net Neutrality, and you'll find a whole slew of arguments.

i'm fully aware of the net neutrality and all of that stuff
what i'm saying here is that these are two different arguements:
one being against government censorship of the internet
and the other being against the ruling class in america...
unless we're just going to use the army that is fighting the battle against internet control (in part) to rally also to our cause, then i'm missing something.
