That's an interesting title... If I'm not mistaken it comes from Philip K Dick's VALIS, written in 1981. The Black Iron Prison was a matrix-like illusion that held people as spiritual slaves. The real Jesus and his true followers (not to be confused with the twisted and manufactured religion of idolatry that we have today) ended up sabotaging the Black Iron Prison from within, destroying it and freeing the people from their slavery.
I don't know if this relates to Dick's book in any way, but I recommend that read as well.
