i have seen a few post about how to gain momentum and getting noticed. well here is an thread to talk about what you think we should do.
My proposed plan:
1)Gather a strong base-this base needs to consist of people who are willing to lead and help. looking at this site so far i would say we have that
2)Begin getting friends/family involved- by doing this we can get our closer allies in first making the road ahead much easier
3)Inform distant friends/coworkers/stranger- at this point we would reach our "outer-circle" people. like step 2, this would help us get the message out to more people and faster.
4)Take the message to the people (part 1)- At this point we should be a smoothly ran group of like-minded people. the main people here are people who are on the fence; people who are not sure either way. Here we should use a low amount of resources like internet, fliers, emails ext.
5)Take the message to the people(part 2)- This is the hard part: convincing the nay-says or at least disproving them enough. during this time we would need the media (papers or local new stations) if we haven't already talked to them. By doing this, the moment can gain more members at a rapid pace.
4.5/5.5)youth-being a young person i can say that gaining their support will be needed. younger people (even people as young as 13 could help) have the energy and the ties to get out and get more people than most others.
just something off the top of my head. this is the same way a local patriotic group got started and now they have 5000+ members in a short amount of time: by networking. now im not saying "get out in peoples faces and call them stupid if they say its not real". which would you rather bike up? a 15o slope or a 70o slope? by pacing it out, i think we would be better off. It will also make us look better in the public's eye. Ever since i got cussed out by an eco-freak about throwing away a can, i have had a bad taste in my mouth about them, so that can happen to us.
now lets hear you thoughts.
